Bourton-on-the-Water series

Bourton-on-the-Water in the heart of the Cotswolds is a favourite place of mine. In this series of paintings, I explored recurring themes that for me, embody the spirit of Bourton, namely people and imagery that typify village life and characterise the heart and soul of the village, especially the ice cream cone. This was a favourite image used repeatedly throughout the series.  In fact, an ice cream cone can be found in each of these images if you look closely enough....
